CINNAMON CHOCOLATE PULL APART BREAD
DOUGH:
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tsp yeast
- 4 1/4 cups flour ( adjustable as needed for a soft dough
FILLING:
- 2/3 cup softened butter
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 1/4 cup chocolate chips
How to:
With the roller and scraper in place add the first 3 ingredients to the bowl. Add the butter to warm milk to melt. Pour milk solution into bowl and mix all together. Add about 1 1/2 cup of flour blend in and then add the yeast. Once well blended add as much flour as required for soft dough. Knead for about 8 min with dial at about 3 o'clock. Allow to rise till double. While that is rising mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Once dough is double in bulk lift out of bowl and spread into rectangle on floured surface. Make sure you make it a width that will work with your loaf pan and then as long as you get for thickness you desire. I made it almost half inch thick. Spread with butter and then sprinkle sugar and chocolate chips on top.
Now calculate to cut in sizes that work with your pan, if have one handy cutting with a pizza cutter is much easier than using a knife
Here's where I would do things different than I seen anywhere. As you can see I stacked them'
, instead next time I would just place each directly into the pan which I'd have set at a slight angle on something. I did this with the small pan and it worked much better as they didn't stick together (sorry no photo). As you can see this recipe did a really large bread pan plus a small foil one which will be great to freeze and save for another day.
Enjoy...this was a nice sweet touch to enjoy with this mornings brunch. Great Valentine/Palentine brunch idea!!
