A quick delicous treat to make when unexpected guests are on the way.
- 1 cup soft butter or margerine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed cand canes
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Blend together the first 4 ingredients then add the flour and salt. Mix till well blended then press into greased or parchment lined 9 x 13 pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 20 – 25 minutes till lightly browned. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips and allow to melt for a couple minutes then spread them to evenly cover cake. Sprinkle with candy canes. Finally melt the white chips in microwave or over hot water and drizzle this white chocolate over candycane layer. Refridgerate for about 15 minutes till chocolate is somewhat set. At this point best to remove from fridge and cut before chocolate is fully set. Then return to fridge for another 15 – 20 minutes till chocolate is completely set. Enjoy now or freezes well for later.
